Doctor Ronald Freeling is a graduate of the University of Buffalo. He did his professional schooling at the Illinois College of Podiatric Medicine where he graduated summa cum laude. He did his residency program at the Illinois College upon his graduation. He returned to Rochester to open his practice in podiatric medicine and surgery after his residency. He is Boarded by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.

Doctor Freeling is also on the staff of Rochester General Hospital and Unity Health Systems. He is the Chairman of the Podiatry Section at Unity Hospital. He is also on the staff of Brighton Surgery Center and Westfall Surgery Center. Doctor Freeling was President of the Monroe Country Podiatry Society and is a member of the New York State Podiatry Society. He is also a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association. Doctor Freeling was President of Genesee Valley Sports Medicine Association and has lectured on sports medicine injuries.

His special interests include care of the diabetic foot and surgical reconstruction of the deformed foot and he has lectured extensively on both subjects. He is a member of the American Diabetes Association and the Rochester area Diabetes Educators. He was a founder of Westside Podiatry Group which today maintains three locations in Monroe county. Doctor Freeling is also active in the practice of podiatric medicine and surgery.
